My Honest Review of the Naturium Sunscreen Review
I’ve been using this UV reflect sunscreen for the past few days and here’s my honest Naturium sunscreen review.
Would I recommend it?
No, unless you really want a clean-ish sunscreen with a very runny texture.
I thought the runny texture of the Naturium sunscreen was unique and it left a nice dewy finish on my skin. However, it didn’t feel the most moisturizing on my dry skin. The main reason I don’t recommend it is it has some potential skin irritants. Not dangerous but I’d prefer them to not be on my sunscreens.
The Good 🌟
- I liked the runny texture since it was very easy to blend in.
- Left a dewy finish on my skin.
- It’s fragrance free but smells pleasant.
Considerations 💭
- A chemical sunscreen with active ingredients like avobenzone which makes it not reef-safe.
- Quite expensive for a chemical sunscreen.

Naturium Sunscreen Review
I really wanted to like this sunscreen because I loved how easily it blended into my skin. The texture is incredibly runny and there was no white cast at all. Since the texture is so thin, the product separates very easily. I have to shake it well each time before I use it.
This Naturium broad spectrum sunscreen made my skin look slightly dewy and velvety which I liked a lot. But I have dry skin and it didn’t feel particularly moisturizing. The good thing is it didn’t flake up my skin.
The packaging is nice. It’s thin so it can easily fit into my bag. The cap is tight so it didn’t leak.
If we’re just talking about how the product feels on my skin, I would totally recommend it. However, the ingredients could be cleaner. It’s not bad, but I would choose other alternatives that are cleaner. More on this below.
The Cost
A 1.7 fl oz bottle of this sunscreen costs $26.
I find that to be quite expensive considering that it’s only a chemical sunscreen. Typically, ingredients like zinc oxide found in mineral sunscreens are more expensive.
Sustainability
It’s packaged in a recycled bottle and inside a cardboard box.
Is It Non-Toxic?
After looking at the ingredient list, it looks cleaner than your average chemical sunscreen. However, there are some ingredients that I didn’t like as much.
Propylene glycol is in this sunscreen. It’s a synthetic liquid that could cause skin irritation for some people who are allergic to it.
Phenoxyethanol is another one I have some concerns with. It’s a preservative that could also cause skin irritation for some people with sensitive skin.
If you don’t have sensitive skin or are not allergic to these ingredients, they’ll likely have minimal effect on your skin. But there are many clean sunscreens that don’t have these two ingredients so I’d rather go for those.
Since this Naturium sunscreen is a chemical sunscreen, there are active ingredients like avobenzone, homosalate, and octisalate. Some studies said these ingredients may be endocrine disruptors but all the percentages are within the FDA guidelines.
Jasmine’s Notes
It’s a maybe buy. I wouldn’t repurchase it myself but I can see the appeal of the super runny texture. I do really like the product itself and how it feels on my skin and it can work for all skin types. The fact that it is a chemical sunscreen and has a few potentially skin-irritating ingredients made me dock off a few stars.
That’s all for my Naturium UV reflect review! If you tried it, what are your thoughts?
