What I Think Of Saltair Body Wash Review
I tried it for one month and here’s my Saltair body wash review.
Would I recommend it?
Maybe. For the most part, I like everything about the product including the scent, lather, and texture. I also like that it has lots of hyaluronic acids in here so it feels very hydrating. However, there are some potentially skin-irritating preservatives and fragrances in here. Definitely would not recommend it for sensitive skin.

My Saltair Body Wash Review
Before we talk about the product itself, I want to take a moment to talk about the packaging. It’s what first attracted me to purchasing it.
All their bottles had bright colored bottles and it’s all made with 100% aluminum. Just having it in my shower elevates the whole space.
Alright, now onto the product. I tried the Saltair Seascape Serum body wash. The texture is quite thick – more thick than most other ones I’ve used. It comes out kind of like a clear gel.
At first, I tried just using my hands to use it but it didn’t lather too well. Then, I switched to using a loofah and it lathered so much better. I did find myself putting 3 or more full pumps to feel like I was thoroughly cleaning.
I do like the hydrating and soothing ingredients that are in here. There are 3 different types of hyaluronic acid, Panthenol, Fermented Marine Complex, and Polysaccharides.
In terms of the scent, it wasn’t too overpowering. The Seascape scent smelled very fresh and like the ocean breeze. It didn’t smell floral, citrus, or woodsy at all. I normally don’t like things that are overly scented so I was a huge fan of the scent.
Even though I loved the product, I didn’t love the ingredients. I talk more about this below.
Based on reading the other Saltair reviews, this scent seems to be a hit or miss. Some people say it’s too mild but I think if you like milder clean scents, you’ll like it.
The Cost
A 17oz Saltair body wash bottle costs $12.
I don’t think this price is too expensive. Many Dove body washes and other conventional body soaps of the same size cost between $7-$9.
Sustainability
As I mentioned before, I like that the bottle is made with 100% aluminum. That means it can be easily recycled. There’s no plastic in the packaging at all.
The aluminum bottle is also very durable so I can see myself reusing it again and again.
Is It Non-Toxic?
I wouldn’t say the Saltair body wash is entirely non-toxic. While it is phthalate and paraben free, there are some ingredients in here that can cause skin irritations. Those ingredients are:
- Phenoxyethanol: Not the worst preservative in the world but I would prefer to not see this ingredient in my personal care items. If you have sensitive skin, definitely would recommend avoiding this.
- Fragrance: The fragrance ingredients are undisclosed so I’m not sure if it might irritate sensitive skin. On their website, it says it is “safe for sensitive skin”.
- PEG-150: This is considered a safe PEG. However, it has the risk of being contaminated with 1-4 dioxane which can be a possible carcinogen. Again, not the worst but I’d avoid it if I can.
I don’t particularly have sensitive skin so this didn’t irritate my skin at all. But I think people with extremely sensitive skin should be careful of it.
Jasmine’s Final Thoughts
I was honestly quite sad that the ingredients weren’t completely clean since I enjoyed using the product a lot. I wouldn’t repurchase because of the ingredients. But I will continue to finish using the rest of the bottle.
