Yes, but only if you don’t have very sensitive skin.

Overall, I think this is a really solid product. The soap lathers well so it’s very easy to clean with. A small amount of soap can clean multiple dishes. I got the organic lemongrass scent and I enjoyed the scent. But I wish it was slightly less strong. My biggest concern about this product is the fact it has Benzisothiazolinone, a preservative.

The Good

  • Lathers nicely and cleans easily
  • Scent is enjoyable
  • Easy to pour out the dish soap

Considerations

  • Slightly more pricey than conventional brands like
  • No fragrance-free option
  • Only comes in a 3-pack

What I think of Puracy natural dish soap

Puracy Natural Dish Soap Review

I’m quite impressed by how effective this liquid dish soap can wash my dishes.

  • Cleans very well: It rinsed off all my greasy plates with just a small drop.
  • Lathers well: I used a dish scrub brush with the soap and it lathered very well.
  • Scent: The organic lemongrass scent could be slightly less strong. I wish they had a fragrance-free option but sadly they don’t. The only other scent they have is Green Tea & Lime.

How it looks

The Cost

  • Puracy natural dish soap is $21.84 for 3 bottles ($7.28 each)
  • Puracy dish soap refills cost $16.99 if you buy a 48oz refill ($5.66 each)
  • An average Dawn soap of the same size is on average $3.

Clearly, the Puracy one is more expensive than conventional brands. But the difference between the Puracy refills and Dawn soap is not huge so I’d be happy paying the extra few dollars for cleaner ingredients.

Sustainability

It’s made with PETE plastic bottles that are recyclable. I wish they were not in plastic but I understand it’s unavoidable sometimes. They do have refill pouches that have no plastic. So if you choose to keep using Puracy dish washing soap, you just need to buy the bottles once.

On their website, they only sell their dish liquid in a set of 3. The set of 3 came in a cardboard box.

Is It Non-Toxic?

I’m happy with the ingredients except one. That ingredient is Benzisothiazolinone.

It’s a biodegradable preservative that can potentially cause skin irritation. If you have sensitive skin or eczema, it’s an ingredient you should definitely stay away from. If you don’t have sensitive skin, it’s okay to use. However, I would rather choose alternatives that don’t have that ingredient.

The reason I’m extra critical about this ingredient is because it comes in direct contact with your skin. Puracy’s laundry detergent also has this ingredient but I’m less concerned since your hands don’t touch the detergent directly.

On their website, they state that their dishwashing liquid is free of:

  • Sulfates
  • SLS
  • SLES
  • MEA
  • DEA
  • TEA
  • Dyes
  • Caustics
  • Triclosan
  • Phosphates
  • Petrochemicals
  • Animal By-Products

My Recommendation

I would use up the rest of my Puracy dish soap but I likely wouldn’t purchase it again. I liked how it cleaned my dishes very well and the lather was nice. However, I can’t get past the fact that it has benzisothiazolinone. I can name other clean dish soap brands that don’t have this ingredient and I’d rather go for those instead.

That’s all for my Puracy natural dish soap review! What are your thoughts?
