Puracy Laundry Detergent Review

I tried Puracy laundry detergent for a few weeks and here’s my Puracy laundry detergent review.
Would I recommend it?
Yes!
This is such a simple yet effective natural laundry detergent. I love everything from the bottle pump packaging to how well it’s able to wash my clothes. I did a few tests with tomato paste stain on white and black clothing and it got rid of the stains. It’s also fragrance-free!
The Good
- Cleans odors and stains off easily
- Has a fragrance-free option and clean Ingredients
- The pump makes it easy to get detergent out (no mess)
Considerations
- Slightly more pricey than conventional brands like Tide
What I think of Puracy laundry detergent
Puracy Laundry Detergent Review
At first glance, the product is very thick and is definitely a very concentrated laundry detergent.
In order to test how effective this laundry detergent is, I did 4 different tests.
- Test 1: I used 1 pump of detergent with a full load of laundry.
- Results of Test 1: Cleaned super well! No odors and my clothes smelled fresh.
- Test 2: I used 2 pumps of detergent with a full load of laundry.
- Results of Test 2: As expected, cleaned all my clothes really well. I saw no difference from just using 1 pump.
- Test 3: I purposely stained my black dress with tomato paste and washed it. I didn’t use any stain removers.
- Results of Test 3: The stain is completely gone!
- Test 4: I stained my white button-up shirt with tomato paste and washed it. I didn’t use any stain removers.
- Results of Test 4: The stain is completely gone!

The Cost
- Puracy laundry detergent is $17.99 (64 loads)
- An average Tide 64 load detergent is $12.99
When you compare the price of Puracy with conventional brands like Tide, it does cost slightly more. But I personally wouldn’t mind paying the extra $5 for much more non-toxic ingredients.
If you get the refill pack, it actually only comes down to $10.50 per bottle. Costs even less than Tide!
Sustainability
The bottle is made of PETE plastic bottle but is recyclable. The pump and bottle were packaged in a plastic bag. There was some product leakage so I think the bag was necessary.
Once you finished using all the detergent, they have Puracy laundry detergent refills. This is great for helping reduce plastic use.

Is It Non-Toxic?
Yes! For the free and clear (fragrance-free) one, the ingredients look pretty clean to me.
The only ingredient I want to point out is Benzisothiazolinone. It’s a biodegradable preservative that may cause skin irritation for people with really sensitive skin. Since I don’t apply laundry detergent directly onto my skin, I’m not too concerned about this being on the ingredient list.
They also have a Fresh Linen liquid detergent that’s scented with natural fragrance made from naturally derived essential oils, floral extract, and other plant-based ingredients. If you have sensitive skin, I recommend getting the Free and Clear one.
On their website, they state that it’s free of:
- Sulfates
- SLS
- SLES
- Dyes
- Caustics
- Allergens
- Phosphates
- Allergens
- Petrochemicals
- Chlorine Bleach
- Optical Brighteners
- Animal By-Products
- No Harsh Chemicals
My Recommendation
I would definitely buy the Puracy laundry detergent again. It is effective, has clean ingredients, is fragrance-free, and it’s easy to use. Easily among my top favorite natural laundry detergents.
That’s all for my Puracy laundry detergent review! What are your thoughts?
