My Honest WAMA Underwear Review
I’ve only tried cotton underwear in the past but when WAMA reached out and offered to send over a few pairs of their hemp underwear to try, I was so excited to test it out. I tried the WAMA hipster panties and WAMA boy shorts and had my husband try the WAMA boxers. Read on to see my WAMA review!
The Material
All WAMA underwear is made of a mixture of organic cotton, hemp, and a bit of spandex. Cotton is not great at wicking moisture but hemp is great at it. So I like the combination of both the breathability of cotton and moisture wicking properities of hemp.
The texture feels just like cotton underwear.
The Comfort
The WAMA hipster and boy shorts underwear were both super comfortable. Especially the hipster one. The boy shorts were tight around my thighs but that’s expected for a pair of boy shorts. I tried wearing both underwear for the whole day and I didn’t feel any discomfort. When it comes to thicker underwear, the hipster underwear is one of the most comfortable ones I’ve tried.
I also like that there is a strong elastic piece around the waist that fits snug but doesn’t dig into my skin. I’ve tried underwear that doesn’t have an elastic piece and it keeps sliding down. Super annoying.
The Durability
Hemp is known to be durable and can last many more washes than compared to cotton underwear. It’s also supposed to become softer after every wash. So I put that to the test and placed my WAMA underwear in the wash for a few times. It looks and feels just as new.
Pros and Cons of WAMA Underwear
Pros:
- Very soft and comfortable (biggest pro in my opinion!)
- Durable material
- Made with sustainable materials like organic cotton and hemp
Cons:
- Slightly more expensive than regular cotton underwear.
- Doesn’t have many colors to choose from.
Final Thoughts On My WAMA Underwear Review
That’s my WAMA review! It’s super comfortable and durable and it’s honestly my go-to underwear to wear nowadays. The price is a bit on the hefty side but still reasonable since hemp is an expensive material.
